Divorce Grounds

For NYS uncontested divorce, when stating grounds, are you allowed to state more than 1 of the grounds listed?

if applicable to your situation? there are 2 grounds that would suffice, but im not sure if i should use 1 or 2 of them. You need grounds in NYS to divorce.

Public Comments

  1. You can state as much or as little as you like on your petition but remember it is public record and can haunt you & your ex forever so be mindful. Good luck
  2. While it is public record, I don't agree it can haunt you. Again, anyone can access the divorce decree, from my knowledge, but then again, who would? Its not like people check for divorces in your history before you're hired for a job, or get a house or anything. I would just state one, make it simple.
