On what grounds should she get divorce?
My friend separated from her husband about a year ago because she suspected that he was cheating on her. He is 36 and she just found out that he has a new baby with a 17 year old girl. (17 is legal in south carolina) She wants to know if she should get a simple non contested divorce or get a lawyer and get him to pay for everything. He can't keep a job so how would he be able to pay for anything.

- Getting a lawyer to pay for everything is just going to make him more vengeful and he can't pay it anyway. He's already looking at possible rape charges with the girl, cut ties and leave him in the dust (or jail).
- Trust is hard to build with a person once it is lost. Infidelity to me is grounds for divorce, not mention he has made a baby out of wedlock...thank God it was a baby and not somehting the wife had to go to the doctor for...if he is as irresponsible as he seems, I'd do the uncontested divorce (which is what I really did about 8 years ago) as their relationship will never be the same again, it is very difficult to be intimate with someone that you think is cheating, but when there is proof it is worse...besides what is left of the relationship once your instinct tells you he's cheating, it's bound to come out. hopefully she doesn't live in denial and make excuses and to the million and one reasons to stay with him and does whats best for her, it may be difficult in the beginning, but as the days and months pass she will began to heal and realize she did what was best for HER
