I am currently going through a legal separation, am I entitled to half of everything under Irish Law?
My Husband runs 2 businesses which he kept very private from me throughout our marriage so I'm wondering if I have any legal claim to these? The businesses were both started after we married.

- It depends on a lot of things really. Far as I know(just gone through my second divorce in Ireland) if there are children of the marriage he would have to maintain you and them. If you can proove you contributed to the businesses, or that you ran the household, looked after house, children and husband in order to let him run the businesses, you should get a fair settlement. There are lots of underlying factors and I think your solicitor is the one to advise you on this question. I was 4 years getting my second divorce which incurred legal fees of 120 thousand euros.(High Court) Am divorced allright, but he still has'nt put the settlement into place on which we agreed. It's a tricky one when they start dragging their feet. Good luck, and I hope you dont have as much difficulty as I'm having.
- Get yourself an English lawyer and you will end up with everything.......including all future earnings he may earn, plus all pensions he may have started for himself in the past and in the future.
