Legal Separation?

I heard that there is no such thing as a Legal Separation in the state of CT, Does anyone know? I asked a laywer,but didn't get a straight answer.

1. Yes. Basically what that is is that you're "divorced," but can still have financial dependency on each other, like insurance, shared mortgages, things like that....
